Just Chillin!~

I really don't have anything to specific to talk about today. We just hung out around the house and chilled.=) We watched hairspray, and that was fun. It made Nathan want to dance.Let me tell ya good times begin when Nathan starts dancing! I love to dance with him. The girls had a friend spend the night, and little Nate has been playing with them. Noah has just done his own thing today.(He isn't talking because his throat hurts to much.)So he just point to things and you get to figure out what he wants.Kind of like a game. Well that's about all we did, sorry nothing to exciting to read about, but we had fun.I hope you guys had fun too.

Here are some funny quotes from Hairspray:

Wilbur Turnblad: [to Tracy] This is America, babe, you gotta think big to be big.
Edna Turnblad: Big ain't the problem in this family, Wilbur.

Motormouth Maybelle: [to Seaweed and Penny] Oh, so this is love? [pauses, then smiles] Motormouth Maybelle: Well, love is a gift, a lot of people don't remember that. So, you two better brace yourselves for a whole lotta ugly comin' at you from a neverending parade of stupid. Penny Pingleton: [deadpans] So, you've met my mom?

Penny Pingleton: Mom, please don't send my best friend to the big house!
Prudy Pingleton: [grabs Penny] Penny, hush!
Tracy Turnblad: You haven't heard the last of me, Mrs. Pingleton! Things need to change, and I won't stop trying to change them. I don't care how long it takes.
Prudy Pingleton: Good! You'll be waiting twenty to life.

Spring is in the air!!

Can I just say how much I love the weather today! It is currently 71 degrees with a slight breeze blowing. Sigh just beautiful! The last two days have been wonderful. Yesterday it as nice as well, and me and the boys went to the zoo. We had a lot of fun. We played at the kid zone, with sand and dirt.(digging is a big hit with the boys!) Next we walked around and went to the river exhibit. We saw snakes, fish, the otter, and more snakes. The snakes were really active too.Looking around at the glass, and smelling all around.(kind of looking at you...creepy=) Then we walked and saw the Bison, and Nate kept asking "Why" everything. He said that they looked like big cows with horns.(as a side note on the way to the zoo Nate was looking out the window and yelled,"horses!" I said"well those are cows honey." Then Nate turned thoughtful and says,"Bye cows and horses, I love you!") After the bison we rode the tram to Junction and went to see the aviary. We looked at the fogs first,I really like the blue one. Then as we went into the aviary Noah was making me laugh, because he was freaking out about the vents. He yelled at Nate "Get off there Nate you are going to fall and DIE!!!"I was laughing so hard; of course by the time I thought about getting a video of him walking only on the outside of the vent he got over his fears and was fine with them. After the zoo we went to hang with Jennifer and her bunch, so the boys were nice and sleepy when I put them in the car to leave. Noah didn't even make it out of the driveway before succumbing to peaceful slumber!

Was Mother's Day yesterday?

Of course not you say.....well I got my wish!!! Nathan said "Hey Dena why don't we go to church and then go to Wal-mart?" (OK I knew something was up because Nathan NEVER wants to go to Wal-Mart.) Anyway we go to church and then go to Wal-mart. La-di-daaa we re walking around...I say"So honey why are we here?" He says" Well we need a new camera." YEAH!!!!OK so maybe you haven't read what happened to our last camera...lets just say it was my fault. I have misplaced certain key parts to it fulfilling its designated function.(I lost the battery charger, av cord, and our little thumb drive for the sd card) Anywho, Nathan was very gracious not to bring it up only a few hundred times.=) So now I can post all kinds of pictures! Like these from Christmas...look close at Noah.

or these from Eliza's field trip to Raleigh...

I could put a lot more but I will save you from that.Lets us just say you can now call me.... snapshot!=)

Sorry technical difficulties...

As I was saying Happy Easter! Easter here was a fun day! We actually got ready on time, and got to church on time!(I know shocker!) The Easter bunny did good not to get to much candy.(heehee) I love Easter time! It is so pretty here. Trees are blooming and flowers everywhere! Beautiful NC! I am always happier in spring time, I think I need the sunshine. It is my kind of drug! A person at church took these pictures at the Easter egg hunt! I think it is funny that all the people that took pictures not a one has a picture of my daughter Eliza. I know she was there.=) Thanks to all the people who did take pictures, my camera won't work until I find the pieces for it! Ugghhh!I hate losing things! Anyway,Easter was a fun time for us! We will have to get all dressed up again ad take some family pictures. Maybe I can get that for Mother's day?

Happy Easter! I know it after Easter!

How fun!

So how much fun is it that when you sign on to my blog you get to hear Pop goes my heart! Hilarious right! Music and Lyrics has to be one of my favorite movies! Hugh Grant has some good lines in there. For Ex.

Alex Fletcher: Just a little bit louder,
because this song is intended for humans, okay? Way Back Into Love, take two

Alex Fletcher: It doesn't have to be perfect. Just spit it out. They're just lyrics.
Sophie Fisher: "Just lyrics"?
Alex Fletcher: Lyrics are important. They're just not as important as melody.
Sophie Fisher: I really don't think you get it.
Alex Fletcher: Oh. You look angry. Click your pen.

Alex Fletcher: The best time I've had in the last fifteen years was sitting at that piano with you. Sophie Fisher: That's wonderfully sensitive... especially from a man who wears such tight pants. Alex Fletcher: It forces all the blood to my heart.

What A good movie! Well I better get off this thing talking about it makes me want to watch it!:)

Edward's Lullaby

Hey for you Twilight fans have a listen to the songs called Edward's lullaby. Tell me what you think. Is it what you heard in your head when you read about it? Those of you who aren't Twilight fans, you can have a listen to a really pretty song. So check it out and let me know.=)
PS
they are listed over on the
left side here, under
music Edward lullaby=)

David Archuleta..Imagine

OK so I haven't been very faithful to American Idol this time, so I really haven't seen it since the tryouts. Last week, my Mom called to tell me they were performing the Beatles songs.Well I didn't get to watch.(you know kids and all that drama)A few days later my Mom calls and says that the song by David Archuleta was really good. He sung Imagine by John Lennon. Well I have been meaning to look it up but haven't really thought about it; so today I looked it up. WOW! He really did do a good job! I love the guitar.(for those who haven't seen it take to time to listen at the side of my blog.I found them on you tube.) I really like John Lennon anyway and thought that I wouldn't like it(the American idol version) because Mom had said that it was really different then John's version. I think that he stayed true to the song, and again the guitar is what makes it for me. Good song! It is kind of sad though I think yesterday he forgot the words of his song. Oops! He has a really pretty voice, and I hope he does well.

It's Easter!....well almost

OK so here it is a few days before Easter. You know there was once a time long, long ago, when I was actually somewhat organized. I would have had the girls outfits together, and hung in their closet, all the way down to their tights, gloves, and matching hats. The boys would have cute little outfits along with matching ties. Candy AND a little present would be hiding in the closet. But not this year! I just remembered Easter was on Sunday!!!! I had such plans for our first year in our house, and surprisingly my little picture of domestic bliss hasn't happened! Go figure. So Nathan has Good Friday off, and I guess that means we"(when I say "we" I mean Nathan=) gets to run around like a chicken with his head cut off, to get the last minute stuff! Fun for him!!!!=) I thought me and the kids would make these, cute huh!=)

Noah is fine?

OK, so most of you know Noah got a bump on the head yesterday. Can you tell? NO!! That kid has not slowed down even for a second. It hasn't even made a difference. Did it stop him from jumping off the exam bed at the hospital? Nope. Did it stop him from screaming the whole time we were there,"I want to go and play at Mandi's house!" Nope. Did it stop him from pulling my arm and sleeping on it ALL night long? Unfortunately no. Did it stop his love for taking showers? Not at all. Did it stop him from trying to pull his staple out last night? No. All he says is,"Mom I can take off my band-aid now." And he proceeds to pull out the staple. Gross I know! Anyway that kid is made of steel! He is a funny kid!! I wish he would give me some of his energy! We would all feel a lot better!

Is crazy in the air?

I am just wondering if crazy is in the air? You know instead of "spring" is in the air.(heehee) Look at that face, who could believe what lies beneath the mask.I really think my kids have gone crazy. Let me give a example....Yesterday we went to Wal-mart.(Me,Noah, and Nick) As we were returning something Noah started asking for something. I don't think he really cared what I got him just something.Anywho, we are waiting in line and I keep saying no trying to explain to him we are just returning something. Now as I was talking to him he gets louder and louder. So I get softer and softer trying to keep my temper under control, and it works for a little while. So we get everything switched out, and I explain to Noah again that he already go bubbles today so now is just for Mommy. As we are leaving the store he FREAKS out! I have never heard my child scream like this! Now picture it..Noah freaking in the back of the cart, Nick in the front scared for his life, sucking on his little fingers for comfort, and me, out of shape huffing and puffing this cart as fast as I could to get Noah in the car so I can yell at him in private. OK. so I get him into the car finally, and try to reason with him.(yelling really just makes it worse.)Well to honest I did yell first, but when that didn't work I tried reasoning. It didn't work either. He screamed all the way home..louder and louder..he screamed when we got home. He screamed for at least 30 mins. after we got home! I just didn't know what to do. Finally he screamed into exhaustion. So needless to say that last night I didn't make it to my meeting...I just couldn't leave all that crazy with Nathan. I love him too much!

clarification on the office

As I was reading over my post about the office I noticed discrepancy...I said,"Nathan Kept being shunned and re-shunned." False..Nathan kept being shunned and UN-shunned. Sorry for the confusion!=)

Tiller fun!

How many people does it take to move a troy built tiller? Well lets see Jennifer, me, and oh yeah Nathan on my cell phone! What fun me and Jennifer had trying to figure out how to move the tiller. When Jennifer called to pick it up I was worried about being able to put it on the trailor, little did I know that the hardest part would be to get the wheels to even move!!!! So picture this....We go to pull the tiller out of the building. First we have to move the wheelbarrow to get to it. OK not that hard. Next we go to pull the tiller, we pull , and pull, and pull, and pull, to get this thing out! So we drag this 60lb tiller( I looked the weight) down the ramp to the ground. Now we have a problem because how in the heck are we going to get this to her truck? So like any smart person would do, we read the directions. Nothing. Then we read them again....nothing. It doesn't tell you anything about how to get the dumb wheels moving! So this is where Nathan comes in to the picture, I call him on the cell phone and ask him. Now Jennifer and I are both scared(and cussing) at this point that we are going to have to start this baby up. And of course that is what happened. So now you can picture me and Jennifer trying to start this thing! I am no good at pulling the ripcord to get the motor to turn over, so I got it to start one time but it cut off. Luckily Jennifer was able to finally get it to crank. Then she has to move at snails pace to take it to her trailer. All the while scared that we are going to chop our toes off! Good times, good times!!=)
PS. Thanks to your Grandma Jennifer for letting us use it!

The Office

OK I know you are saying,"Aah..come on!Stop talking about the office." Well all I have to say is,"No!" If you don't want to hear about it don't read any more. OK. OK, that being said I will continue...

Nathan and I have been watching the office lately trying to catch up. One day Nathan was doing something or saying something to me, and I just turned and said,"you're shunned." Those of you who have seen the office(aka.Mandi) will be laughing now. Because I just kept doing it to him.He kept being "shunned" and "re-shunned".=)(Good Times, good times) Well apparently the kids saw me do this because later that day I heard Eliza tell Nate he was "shunned". So all my kids started shunning each other through out the day.(Except Noah thinks it is a karate move. And he about takes your head off when he does it!) So anyway all this fun has back fired on me because when I told Nate to do his homework, he informed me I was "shunned"!Oh well what ya gonna do?

Todays Column: Duct Tape and Bailing Wire...

As I predicted there are some doubters to my Grand Vision(not to name any names,Heidi) but I promise that some day my vision will be realized. Until then this brings us to our current subject of the day...As a certified, and bona fide redneck, I will use the skills passed down from generation to generation, to duct tape my radiator, and use bailing wire to hold it in place, until the time that my vision comes true. To answer other questions, I will never, ever, visit a Honda dealership again in my life! Been there, done that. Have the hat, watch, and pullover to prove it!Hope all is doing well, have a great day. Blog at ya tomorrow!
P.S.
Mandi were can I send you your $20! Paypal preferred.

The New do..

Well I went and got my hair cut! I have been trying to grow it out for awhile now.(ever since the beginning of last year) But I had finally had it! I wouldn't grow past my shoulders and I only rarely fixed it or did anything to it...so I chopped it off. Now..I love it! It is so much easier to fix and I don't have to be the dumpy Mom any more! Isn't it funny how just one little thing can change so much. Heehee..look out world, here comes Dena!

Mine eyes have seen the GLORY!!!!!!

Well today I, Nathan Harward, must admit that I may have been wrong about my awesome ride. After spending nearly $1000.00 of my, sweat, tear, and hard earned dollars (on my BMW this month) I found out today that I have a crack in my radiator and will need to replace it also. That's $350.00 more of those sweat and tear dollars. Anyway that's not the story, while the guy was telling me what was wrong my mind was opened, and I saw a light, in this light I saw, now hang on for this, a HONDA ODYSSEY! It was most glorious and beautiful! I know some may doubt the truth of this story, but I can not deny it, and never will!!!!

Nathan's true love!!!!

I know my beautiful wife has said some slanderous things about our awesome ghetto sled, and I would just like to post this to clear the record.... That BMW(Big Mormon Wagon)
is the most awesome-est, spectacular-est, most unreliable-est, best-est car, I have ever owned. I will work on it until either I die, or the car falls apart. Amen and Amen!
PS.
May the Lord bless me in my endeavor.=)

Update on the pants....

Well Eliza has tried on her pants and she loves them! YEAH!!!!! I am so happy!

Go on and cry about it!

OK yesterday was the hot dog party out at the ward garden. It sounded like a really fun time. "What?" you ask. "Don't you know if it was a good time?" NO I DON"T!! Me and my family were taking a leisure stroll down hwy 64 as we started to notice some smoke gently billowing out of the front of our hood. Yip-peeey! So anyway Nathan had to spend the whole time at church trying to fix the car. IT SUCKS@#@#@@#!! I am so tired of fixing cars! Whew....OK I feel better now. Sorry for the rant there. Anywho, I decided that I can either yell, and scream all day at everyone for no reason, other than being stressed, or I can go ahead and cry about it. You can probably guess which one I will choose.Sniff...Sniff....

Well Here It is....

Well I went and did it.....I made a blog. What was I thinking? What do I have to say that anyone would want to hear? Oh well.. maybe it can just be therapy for me. Heaven knows I could use some!

Today is an interesting day, as I was hemming my daughters pants I was praying nonstop that I #1 didn't sew my finger, and #2 that Heavenly Father would help me with it. (my daughter is 9yrs old so she isn't too thrilled on wearing something Mom made.Oh well.) I just have say that he hears me, he helps me, and he loves me. Even when I am praying for something as silly as that. He is there. I got the pants done. They aren't perfect but they look alot better than I thought they would. Who knows Lizzy may surprise me and these pants may become her favorite!(Hey,It could happen!)

Blast from the past
